Over the years, Chick has built on that success, employing new manufacturing technologies, incorporating customer feedback, and continuing to work every day to support our mission of "effiiency through workholding inovation." As the vast majority of our customers have experienced, the System 5 line for batch production and the One-Lok™ CNC Vise for one-off production off even greater benefits in versatility, speed, strength, and efficiency than older Chick systems. Therefore, as of March 31, 2010, no new complete M System workholding systems will be sold. Chick wil continue to support M System Customers with Accessories , Spare Parts, and product knowledge. Finding the right Chick product for your needs is simple because our product numbers tell you exactly what width and length you're getting. Take a look:
The first two digits of our product number reflect the width of the jaw set. The second two digits reflect the length.
So if you need a workholding product that is
- 100mm (or about 4“) wide and
- 400mm (or about 15 3/4“) long, then the product you want is a 1040.
